Bowen Therapy

I became interested in Bowen Therapy as a gentle and relaxing way to help animals as an accompaniment to their veterinary care. I started my Bowen Therapy qualification in 2015 and became qualified in 2017. I love how the small relatively painless moves use in Bowen can have such a profound effect on so many areas of the body.

Hydrotherapy

After many years of dreaming about becoming a canine hydro therapist I was finally able to begin my journey in 2018 and became qualified in 2019. I love how with the use of an underwater treadmill we can help dogs (and cats) in so many ways and even in some cases help them learn to walk again after spinal injury.

Pet Psychology

I started studying Pet Psychology to have a greater understanding of how and why our pets behave the way they do and to help them feel comfortable in the Pawsitive Healing centre. I completed this certificate in 2020 and I use the knowledge gained in all my consults, so the animals have the best experience possible while visiting Pawsitive Healing.

Red Light & Cold Laser Therapy

I was introduced to Red Light and Laser therapies while I was completing my Bowen Therapy qualification. At first, I was sceptical but intrigued at how a light could possible do SO MUCH for so many different conditions from hair regrowth to stimulating nerve function, reducing scar tissue, speeding up healing and so much more. After a lot of research into how RLT works I decided to purchase my own equipment, do the necessary studies and became a qualified animal practitioner in 2021.

I love how RLT can be used in conjunction with other therapies and is also a potent healing therapy on its own if an animal is in a lot of pain or is uncomfortable with strangers touching them.

Level 1 Reiki

I have had Reiki healings myself and love it. When an opportunity to participate in an Equine Reiki course opened up, I jumped at the chance to enter this field and bring the healing energy to my animal clients. Being only at the beginning of my Reiki journey I am not a practitioner yet however I do silently incorporate Reiki into all my treatments.
